Created step file of a assembly in Creo 2.0.When we opened the step file in Solidworks it displays a message as "No solid data in file", but the step file is able to open in creo 2.0 . Please suggest how can we open in solidworks.

I have tried as per your suggestion, but there is data loss in solid assembly. Please refer attached image file.
I need solid assembly for future. The assembly model tree should be with no part files shown.
Try exporting a parasolid file from creo and see if that works.

Was it saved as a .STL file, then a STEP file?
My first suggestion would be to open the Creo file in Solidworks without translating it.
I guess it goes down to what you really need. Are you trying to get a solid(s) of the assembly for future use or do you just want some data to design around?
