Vault Error 102 at first document check-in

I get:

vault error :102

"You have no permissions to change the document properties!"

"Failed check-in of document "XXXXX""

"Check-In aborted!"

I did not change anything at check in, yet it keeps preventing me.

Could there be something wrong with the part template or does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am the administrator and have RW access to all projects, I created the part from scratch using the standard template...

???

Here is the Vault Debug Guide. 102 has do with being denied to write to the vault. Have you locked the vault?

  No, the vault is unlocked...
  
  Ports 20000, 30000 & 40000 are set-up, IT worked with CATI and Solidworks rep. to set-up, so I am not sure what else is the problem...

    Try stopping then restarting the PDMW service.

        Contact your VAR, sounds like this is a new install that they did so get them to earn their cut of your support contract.

        VAR? what does that stand for?
        
        I also had the IT guys give me read, write and modify access to the vault folder temporarily and that did not work either...

        still no luck, we (VAR our IT) checked everything using webex (they accessed my computer and the server to check rights and access)...
        
        When they find out what is going on I will post it here...
        
        (no matter how personnally painful it may be...
        
        ie: I forgot step 1 in the set-up...)

        OK, it was me... again...
        
        I forgot to add the read/write access to the lifecycle levels in the PDMWorks Workgroup Vault Admin Lifecycle tab...
        
        The Heckling may now commence...

    VAR is an acronym for your reseller or reps. that you mentioned above.
