Hello, I have create this so far:
Does anyone know how to create a cut along each radial line that starts at the inner circles diameter and ends with the outer circles diameter?
If you could help me it would be most appreciated!
hard to tell from the scrsht-
what type of cut do you mean
vertically or swept along the part/path
(as in profiled tubes?)
but my guess would be to
select them as a group and use
the cut feature you require
maybe if you can upload a sample file,
edit your original post-and
use the "advanced editor" top right of
the reply pane
and define what type of cut/profile
members can then inspect your model
and see what your requirements are better
sorry that's all I got atm- kelef
So I have this created so far: .
I am looking to make a cut loft that starts with the inner circle diameter to the outer circle diameter. What kind of cut(s) should I make to make this look like the picture below.
i.e. how do I make those little divets into the top surface?
Simple create one using cut loft, select both circles as profile and line in between as guide (or center line). And then circular pattern.
How do I make the loft cut when the circles are not perpendicular to the radial guide lines?
Do I have to to make each pair of circles and radial lines from one sketch each, or is there a way to do all of them in one sketch?
Thank you for your help, I'm new to SolidWorks so all your help is most appreciated.
Use the Advanced Editor link in the upper right of the dialog box to post your part.
We will be able to give you better answer when we can see what you are doing in your part file.
