I've been creating my parts in an assy. I now want to seperate one of the parts into two components bolted together for ease of machining. Is there an easy way to do this right in the assembly, or do I have to:

1)open the part
2)use the split command to create a multibody part
3)save copy as
4)delete 1 body from original
5)open copy and delete other body
6)insert the new (copied) part back into the assembly

Is there an easier way?
