After installing 2008 sp0 with Active Directory I get this
error when I try to create a new part.
The default templates are not valid. The problems can be resolved by correcting the default templates under the options dialog. Do you want to continue with a blank template?
What does this mean and how do I get this error to go away?

My paths are as you show them but there are no template files there.
I have reinstalled 2008 SP3.1 and it seems to have fewer templates installed.
Can I copy them from somewhere to the All Users path, or should I create new ones to my own liking?
New user....
Thanks,
Paul
You will need to change your file location path under Tools/Options/System Options/File Locations to show the folder where you put the template if it is other than the default location. Then go to your Default Templates option to define which template is the correct one to use.
It can be a good idea to save your format while you have the template open. Its under the File drop down menu. Then if you pick a wrong template you can change it on the fly.
Have a good one!
