Well, I just got off the horn with a shop thats built the last 3 computers for me.

Got him to spec out a system using:
Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) 45nm CPU, 3.0Ghz, 6mb Cache.
Motherboard, Asus P5E, X38 Chipset.
4x Memory, Kingston HyperX, DDR2-1066 CL5, 1024mb (1gb), with Heat Spreader.
Western Digital Hard Drive, Model 1500ADFD, 150gb, Raptor 10k rpm, SATA.
2x Seagate Hard Drive, 500gb, SATA-2, 16mb Cache, 7200rpm, 3.5in.
Microsoft Vista Business 64bit.

Then when it came to graphics I said to throw in a 1700.

A little further into the day I get a call back stating that he would recommend against the 1700...

He states that he has been getting calls from customers that are having constant graphics issues...(What these issues are I do not know, and what programs they are running - I didn't ask...)

But he does know my application...

He stated that he would opt for the FX3700...No questions, no problems, no service calls - to date on any systems built...

1700 = $583
3700 = $989

Just interested if anyone else has been having issues with the 1700?
