After I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I launched SW and I received an error message stating SW standards files could not be loaded. Any suggestions?
What version of SW 2015 are you using? SW wasn't fully compatible with Windows 10 until service pack 5.
I have service pack 5.
Then compatibility shouldn't be the issue. Maybe someone else will have an idea. If not you might try un-installing and re-installing SW, but that's just a shot in the dark so I wouldn't rush into it unless you get confirmation from someone else that it will work.
Is that the full error you are receiving when starting SolidWorks? or is there more test/numbers to it?
This problem occurs when the Toolbox is unreachable or there is a problem with its version. Try checking for this location on your system, to see if this file is actually present or not - Windows 10 upgrade may have moved/corrupted this.
This should fix by running a repair on your SolidWorks, to do this Start>Control Panel>Programs>Programs and features. Find SolidWorks and select it then Change. The installation manager will load, select repair individual installation and then next. This should fix the problem by repairing the toolbox folder.
