To All,

Part of this topic is a repost and the other is a new method for applying super and/or sub script. Thanks to an inquiry from Bryan Obermeyer, I looked into and found the second. Both of these methods were determined using SW06 but both have been tested in SW08, ...and, as far as I know, there are no provisions for super or sub script capabilities in SW09.

Method #1 Using Fractions for Super & Sub Script
See attachment Sub&SuperUsingFractions.png
This method works for annotations.

Method #2 Using FIT Tolerance for Super & Sub Script
See attachment Sub&SuperUsingFitTol.png
This method works for dimensions. The reason being; FIT Tolerances are expressed in the form of a Letter-Number Code, therefore, any characters can be used.

SIDE NOTE FROM METHOD #2 ( To SolidWorks!!!)
While looking into how to apply super & sub script to dimensions, I tried to use the two hot keys Ctrl= (subscript) and Ctrl Shift + (superscript). What I found is that SolidWorks does understand these commands but it does not apply the formatting. To test this, select any dimension, then go to the PM and type any character in the Dimension Text box, then highlight it. Now press Ctrl = and you will see that the highlighted character becomes subscript. Of course this only happens in the Dimension Text box but has no affect on the actual drawing dimension.
So again, SolidWorks knows but it fails to apply the formatting.
Are we half way there?
