Many of the designs I work on involve a circuit board and components. When I model the mechanically critical components, I like to include the pad outlines as a visual clue about the amount of space I need around parts. If you create similar parts, how do you model the pads? I have been making sketches, but I have not been happy with the results. (With sketches shown, I see the pads thru everything, if sketches aren't shown, then I am missing that visual clue that I was looking for.) I'd appreciate some ideas from those who have done this in the past.
