I have saved an assembly file with parts in new folder using
save as and reference.
I'm modifying the new assembly and when I try to add new equation it is saying
The equations of this assembly refer to assembly: my current part name
Would you like to reset them to refer to assembly: old part name?
Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Cos I don't think there is any relationship between the two assembly.

since you have saved your assembly with all the parts in your new folder, the new assembly refers to that new parts, so you may get this message. If you want a copy of your assembly, try just copy it using Windows Explorer as any other file. That may work.

My equations sort of updated... partially.
currently it has 24 equations but only names on first 14 and last 3 got updated. Those ones that are not updated has same names but they are not updated for some reason.
Is there some kind of bug or something to consider?
Those equations are in assembly file and linked to few part files to make those equations (whehter they are updated or not)
Use the Pack and Go option twice, the first time rename the files as you would normally do. The second time, do the Pack and Go from the result of the first Pack and Go without changing the names.
The second set should no longer have this message.
PITA, but it has worked for me.
