Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I've attached a
zip file of the part I'm working on.
I am needing to put a hem on the "Edge-Flange2" (without the slots), but I am needing to hold the hem back from each end 1.250".
Adding the hem is not a problem, but how do I hold it back from the ends of the part?
Thank so much for your help.

What I would do is put a cut extrude where you require the hem to end and then put in your hem. The attached image has an exaggerated cut. I find that a cut of .002" wide doesn't get picked up by our machine programs but if this is a problem the cut can be filled in after the flat pattern.
I am unable to look at your file so I'm guessing this is what you're after.
Dang! it's amazing how many responses happen while you're typing.

I had not thought of putting the relief cuts in first.
Thanks again for educating a new user.
You could also use split lines to offset your hem from the edges. I have attached your model with the changes.
