There are no mates or references to these planes and the are not
hidden or suppressed.
Just re-read your posts and noticed the above. Even if the keyboard customization I suggested earlier gets the Delete key working, something must have happened to your system for the RMB Delete option to have disappeared. Try resetting the SolidWorks registry key. Post back if you need guidance on doing that.
I am able to delete all except the default ref planes.
Check the Keyboard Customization to make sure the Delete key shortcut hasn't been lost. I've had that happen a couple of times, but no clue as to what caused it.
I have run into the very same problem as Tim. I wish there was a remedy for this.
1. I need to delete the planes (See Tims screen shot). There is no way to delete these. I have openned the paternt child relation for this planes & find that these planes neither have a parent nor a child.
2. I need to get rid of the reference Question mark on the top level of the feature manager tree.(Part Name >?). I dont want to break the relation to the inserted part though
1. Right click on them, and then chose the eyeglasses to "hide" them. Or use the suppression arrows to suppress them. They don't bite. If they are clutter, add them to a folder labeled "Old Planes". Then hide the whole folder. Or suppress them.
2. If it is an inserted part, then that is causing your ->. So if it is still linked, then it will have to stay.
