I have a part that we needed to turn into a sub-assy. I
created the sub-assy. Assembled my part and the additional parts
into it. When I tried to replace the part with the sub-assy I get
the following error: "The new component cannot replace this
component as it has in context references to this assembly."
I am assuming that means that there are some kind of external references from this part back to the assembly or from something else in the assembly back to the part. I can't find them. If I select that part in my assembly, under the RMB menu, there is no option for "List external references". That is available on another part in the assembly that has external references. (not back to the part that I am trying to replace)
The part that I am trying to replace does not have the -> or ->? after it in the model tree.
Thanks,
Carrie
