Can SolidWorks Assembly allow Configuration based Mating Distance?

If it does, wil save lots of time!

find a menu shown a selection (like changing dimensions in sketch):

    This is a feature I have been working to use in my electrode design and set-up drawing tables produced for our EDM department, but I have been unable to bring in X & Y negative values for the electrodes relative to the insert detail workpiece C'lines. Another concern is the electrode burn depth Z value. Once I have created the detail on the end of an electrode using a cavity cut in assy. mode, I haven't any values to import into my table as well.

      Here's a file that contains custom property values for X,Y, & Z locations. It might give you some ideas how to set up your EDM files for burn locations.

        Thanks for the feedback. I believe I have already this file, you are the source. I haven't been able to figure out how to drive the location of the electrode on the workpiece or create a table in my set-up drawing.

Huhaui, if you're using 2008, just double click on the distance configuration. The dimension will show up. Right click on the dim and select Configure Dimension.
