Just installed 2008 on Friday, install and file conversion
went pretty well. Monday I found Windows Desktop Search indexing
thousands of files and using most of my CPU. I found where I can
'snooze' the program, but that doesn't seem to have much effect.
There is a Process called 'searchfilterhost.exe' running constantly
(using ~60% on my CPU while I'm writing this), I don't particularly
like this.
We have a pretty good file system so finding files is almost never a problem, I can usually find any email I need, so unless WDS does something functionally beneficial for me in SW I question the need and am tempted to uninstall it
What does WDS do for me in the Solidworks world?
Thanks
Whit
