Can anyone tell me how to add-in a dll file manually into solidworks?

1. drag-and-drop file int open SW session
2. File --> Open, set file type to addin DLL

Once you have installed addin DLL, go to the registry and look at the keys for the addin. You may want to adjust the addin name, etc. Also, if you are distributing an installation package of your addin, you will want to include registry keys to automatically link to SW when dll is installed/registered w/ install.

The above steps work, but you still need to register the dll using regsvr32. The above method only worked prior to 2007 SP4.0
