AutoCAD Inventor and ProE Drawings, Assemblies, and Parts

      Hello All-

Can anyone share their experiences when vaulting Inventor and ProE Drawings, Assemblies, and Parts? Are the links between documents preserved? How about mapping Custom Properties? Are there any other issues?

      Thanks in advance.

We're currently using PDMWE '07 and Pro-E WF2. PDWME will NOT support ProE in any sense that you can use. (ie: manually linking the files together to "recreate" an assembly for example) At best PDMWE would be some kind of repository for archives maybe? The reason is ProE's .prt.1, .prt.2, .prt.3 file versioning. PDMWE doesn't care for it at all. (I've tried!) Even if you purge down the files to all be .1, there's still way too much manual work in pulling them out linking together, etc.. It's just wasn't an option with us. It was so frustrating that I didn't even get to the custom properties part...

          Hope that helps,
