I have SW 2008 and SW 2007 on my laptop. My 2007 install
points to our network located swbrowser.mdb which works fine. I
recently installed 2008 on my laptop, and I chose "not" to update
the existing database, but instead chose to create a new database
and location. The path default for the swbrowser.mdb in 2008 is
C:\SolidWorks Data\lang\English.
In 2008, I have tried the "Tools - Options" method to map the path of the database and also reviewed the registry and the correct entry (path noted above) is in there.
Why won't SW enable Toolbox? This is frustrating.
Again, I have checked and unchecked the add-in multiple times, rebooted, etc.
What a pain!

If they are in there then point the path for Hole Wizard/Toolbox to there. The SW Browser file is in C:\SolidWorks Data\lang\English.
but the actual data files are in C:\SolidWorks Data\
C:\SolidWorks Data 2007\
in both of my releases that are on my laptop. At work on my desktop the 2007 path is on the network.
