I'm using it! Successfully, well that depends on your definition of successfully. I have discovered a few problems, certain custom properties disapear. If you have a symbol in a text field with a custom property field, it messes up the line spacing. SW actually did acknowledges that one and have created an SPR on it. Yippee!!
I would say, overall it works, but you need to be careful and keep an eye on the output as some weird things may appear on the drawings if not looking close. What problems or issues have you specifically seen?
I can't help but wonder if the problem with PDMWorks is simply now that SW has the enterprise product, is PDMWorks not being supported very much? When SW 2008 came out, there was hardly any new functionality for PDMWorks. Based on what I've seen it doesn't look like they spend as much time with PDMWorks verifying that everything works properly. (Even less than base SW) Somewhere down the road, maybe around SW 2010 or so, will we all be told that everyone needs to move to Enterprise as PDMWorks will be eliminated? My VAR has said no, but they likely will be the last ones to find out!

I can not get eDrawing 2008 to open or view any drawing in my 2007 or 2008 vault. This is the error I am getting. In eDrawings 2007 I have had this issue once or twice on my deployed 80+ machines and the fix has always been simple.....uninstall the eDrawings 2007, clear the eDrawings in the user registry, reinstall eDwgs 2007 and viola....it works. With 2008 eDrawings is part of the Installation Manager and this creates enourmous problems since you can not simply uninstall eDwgs 2008 (the IM will warn you that it will not completely uninsatll eDwg 2008 as it is part of SW Explorer). I have tried dozens of ways to get eDwgs 2008 to open a file in the PDMWW Viewer with no success. If I run a clean install of SW with the Installation Manager (leaving out eDwg 2008) then attempt to launch an eDrawing from my viewer (with no eDwg application installed) the viewer goes to the SW download site and requests to install eDrawings 2007. The PDMWW Viewer wants to use eDwgs 2007. My whole company uses the viewer application on out intranet site so I can not move fwd with SW 2008 unless I get this portion of my testing issue resolved. I can not commit to changing to a 2008 vault, viewer, SW, SW Explorer and eDwgs 2008 if they all do not test and function as desired (at least as it does today in 2007),

Wow, no I'm not having any problems like that. I can use it, just with little annoying bugs and intermittent issues. Still not very impressed with all the bugs and stuff, but can use it.
This installation manager is a royal pain. The problem I see with it is it's created cause SW wants everyone to install things the same way to minimize errors, and for real computer illiterate people, it probably is a good thing. But as soon as the IM encounters eanything out of the ordinary, it has no idea how to handle it, and gives you few if any options during the install process. Even Microsoft has a better install process than this as at least they do a better job of testing it more thoroughly.
Interestingly I've just accepted a new job with a company that uses Inventor. It will be interesting to see how Inventor compares as far as recurring bugs, install issues, and reliability compares. From that perspective SW isn't very impressive.
