Installation Manager, connect to internet error

When i check for updates for my SolidWorks 2008, i receive the following message:

"SolidWorks Installation Manager

Could not connect to the SoldWorks server to automatically select products to install.
Check your internet connection and click Retry or Cancel to manually select the products to install.

[Retry] [Cancel]"

This happens after installation on a new machine, on a new domain. Internetconnection is through a centralized proxy.

Does any special ports have to be opened?
