While exporting from Solidworks 2007 SP5 to ADAMS 2007R2 some
files are written as indicated in the next few lines.
GRAPHICS/9
, EXTERNAL
, RM = 10011
, FILE = C:\DOCUME~1\niner\LOCALS~1\Temp\Assieme_depressore_Fiat_part60_solid1.shl
These files are non existent and, consequently, the model in ADAMS shows errors (an example is provided ahead) that prevent the possibiity of carrying a simulation:
ERROR: The shell file 'C:\DOCUME~1\niner\LOCALS~1\Temp\Assieme_depressore_Fiat_part60_solid1.shl' could not be opened for input. Check the spelling of
the file name and the file protections.
Can anyone help???

such a bug was present several years ago, and I solved it by saving the parts to parasolid binaries with the corresponding names and editing the ADM file to connect the old and new file refs. So it is a brute way of resolving the problem. The other solution is to reinstall motion because I have not seen that bug on my PC, so it can be the trouble of yours one. You can also try to use the SP4 for example. So I wish you good luck and hope my experience would be useful.
