I just suppressed a feature that I expected to be childless.
Turns out, for some reason almost all the holes were dimensioned to
it. I did not realize that things other than it were suppressed
until I went back to my assembly and got a lot of mate errors. Is
there something I should have checked so that it will ask me if I
want to suppress the children or just some of the children? Is
there some way to get it to tell me that it is suppressing more
than one thing?
This is a model that someone else started, so it is possible that I unsuppressed things that I should not have because I did not know what had been suppressed by me and what may have been suppressed earlier. Because I did not realize that more than one feature had been suppressed, I hit save and then changed to the window with the assembly. I do not think that the undo arrow was available to me when I came back to the part. (It seems to not be available when I most need it.)
I ended up deleting the feature rather than suppressing it so that I could change what everything referenced.
