Hi everyone, i had a doubt about simulating a turbine in
floworks.
Its possible to simulate the behavior of a turbine? I know thats easy to do with a pump, but making one volume rotate with the flow is possible?
I need to know the angular velocity of the turbine for a specific flow. Anyone did something like it?
Thanks

simulation of a turbine is very hard in cosmos, but you can use the rotation regions to determine how the rotor angular motion affects the fluid flow, e.g. the pumping effect. The reverse objective is too complicated for CFW, and the only thing you can get out of it are the forces acting on the impeller blade. For a more advanced analysis, you have to use other highend CFD apps.
