When I go to render an assembly, a warning comes up that
says:
The solidworks model is too large to be rendered....rendering is aborted.
Anyone else had this issue before?
THANKS!

OK that didn't work, looking for suggestions!!!!!!!!!!
Here's some info

Again, I don't know if this will help either but since it's just a check box it's worth a try. I still think the 3gb switch is your best bet. Personally, I don't know it isn't just set to "on" as default for workstation class machines. I wouldn't have a CAD workstation with it turned off.
I've never installed the hotfix (I'm on XP SP2) I just change the boot.ini file and go. It's really easy, but at the same time if done incorrectly can be really bad. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy right
Nice work on the 3GB switch. We knew you could do it.
I also will render to file a very low quality (low quality PW settings and very low quality image, maybe 100dpi) image just to double check things like this before I save the real thing.
I am having some memory problems too, does the 3 GB switch only work if you have 3GB or more ram? I have 2GB and this seems logical to me but just thought i'd ask before I stuff about with everything too much.

I found that even when i only had 2 gigs, the 3gig switch allowed me to do more than without it. I have read some forums that said that it would allow an application to use more memory even though the system didn't have the max of 4 gigs (32bit system). I tried it anyway and it really did give me a boost in performance. Nothing like going up to 4 gigs....but anything is better than nothing.
