I was wondering if anybody else have had problems with
running soliworks and outlook 2003.Solidworks hangs up and doesnt
respond with mailbox open.If i close mailbox, solidworks runs
fine.
No I don't use Connector. I do have multiple accounts set up
though. There is one internal mail server account and two external
accounts I regulary access via Outlook.
I've had a problem too once and awhile just when it is
sending and recieving. Outlook and SW fighting for processes when
I'm in a big ass embly so I set the priority to high that usally
works.
Stephan,
Yes i still have issues with outlook(2003) and SW08S.P.3.1.I can't
start SW with outlook running. It will start, but hangs up alot and
generally acts funny. If i start SW ,then start outlook,it seems to
be alright.
Make sure the "performance feedback" is
not selected. When selected, SolidWorks tries to send
e-mails using Outlook back to HQ showings crashes and settings from
your computer as a log file.
Good suggestion, I will try it when I´m back in office on
Monday.
Now I remember I heard something about some problems that could
appear with the performance feedback.
Do you use outlook connector to acess more than one e-mail account?I'm thinking this might be my problem.
What version of SW are you running?
I'm using SW 2008 SP 2.0
We are using several e-mail accounts.
Did you have this problem with previous SW versions?
Michael
Yes,I've always had this problem but have just dealt with it.If i close my mailbox and reopen, everything is fine.I started using in 2007 SP 4.0
do you still have this problem?
I recognized the same thing on some of our machines, we are running SWX 2006 SP5.1 and Office 2007.
I havent localized the source of evil yet, I think there´s some kind of incompatibility between SWX 2006 and Outlook 2007.
Do you have any news regarding this problem?
