How to use lifecycle

I have my VAR coming in next week to do the SW08 upgrade, and also run through PDMWWG. I've been trying to get everything set up before then so I have all the hard questions ready for him.

So far its just the two of us that will be using it, but could as many as four by year end. After two projects with no engineering rev control, I'm fed up and the company wont pay for anything, so PDMWorks it is.

Lifecycle is turning out to be my biggest problem so far.

Our revs go like this P, P1, P2, P3, etc when part is still in prototype stage. When we go into production, it goes A, B, C for changes to the model, but can also go A1, A2, A3 for drawing only changes.

Is there a good way to do this with lifecyle? Is it even possible?
