Hello All,

My first post. A little background info to start off: I come from Pro/ENGINEER World; used, and still use, it for 11 years. Been using SolidWorks for about a year now and love it.

My question is regarding letter case for part numbers in BOM tables. Originally, I created parts and assemblies with lower case letters for the part numbers/file names (our assembly part numbers are prefixed with a 2 or 3 letter acronym - e.g. EA, EMA). That's just an old habit from older Pro/E UNIX days. When I create an assembly drawing with a BOM table that contains some of those sub-assemblies, the part number column shows up like "ea" and "ema" instead of "EA" and "EMA".

I have since renamed the files to upper case, but unfortunately the BOM tables do not update the letter case even if I delete and replace the table. If I create a new assembly from scratch using the new "upper case" sub-assemblies, the BOM fills in the part number column with "EA" and "EMA". Is there a way to possibly force the BOM table to use all caps, regardless of Windows file name letter case?

We are using the default properties in the BOM table; no custom properties.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
