Hello!

My "old" PC is fairly slow, so I'm thinking of upgrading it.

Currently I'm using:

Core 2 Duo E6300 (1,86GHz 1066MHz FSB)
2GB RAM (DDR2-533)
Intel DQ965GF Motherboard
1 WD 250GB HDD S-ATA2
PNY Quadro FX 570

I'm planning to switch over to:

Core 2 Duo E6850 (3,0GHz, 1333MHz FSB)
4GB RAM (DDR2-1066)
Intel DP35DP Motherboard
2 WD 250GB HDD @ RAID1

I'm going to keep my FX570, it's fast enough for what I am doing.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2, SWX2008 and CamWorks (5-Axis simultaneous).

Do you think it's worth the bucks? From what I've read by now, the CPU is the most important component. Unfortunately the new Core 2 Duos with 6MB Cache are not yet available - could the larger cache be an argument to wait a little?
How about RAID? Is there an improvement notiveable?
