We have inquired to our VAR as well, but I thought I might pose the issue here as well.
We are a millwork company using SW 2008 SP1.1 (we have been using SW since 2001).
Is there a way to change the scales shown into architectural scale? We have been putting them in as text up to this point. Is there an easer way?
Here's the conversion for those who are interested.

Architectural - Engineering
Full - 1:1
3" = 1' - 1:4
1 ½" = 1' - 1:8
1" = 1' - 1:12
¾" = 1' - 1:16
½" = 1' - 1:24
3/8" = 1' - 1:32
¼" = 1' - 1:48
3/16" = 1' - 1:64
1/8" = 1' - 1:96
3/32" = 1' - 1:128
1/16" = 1' - 1:192

These are industry standards for us and if we send a drawing with a engineering scale the recipients do not understand it.

Thanks
Kevin Scheeringa
