I'm currently taking Mechanical Engineering at a university
that hasn't built its computer facilities yet. I
already have a desktop which can easily handle bigger
projects but I need a laptop for in-class work.
I have enough experience with desktop video cards to know what will work, but I've never owned a laptop. Has anyone had any experience with some of these video cards running SW?
ATI Radeon X1200
NVIDIA GeForce 7000M
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M (UMA)
As this will be a secondary computer, I'm more concerned about price than performance. Basically I'd like to know if these cards will even run SW2007 or 2008.
The Laptops that these come in all have similar specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-57 (1.9GHz)
2GB DDR2 (Video Memory is Integrated)
Any help would be appreciated.

As for which graphics cards work well with realview off, esp. with consumer grade, I do not know.
I have the Quadro FX 3450, which is based on the nVidia G70 architecture, and performs great with 2008. Very complex parts will slow it down if I have a reflection in the part, and on "the ground", giving me a refresh rate of 2-4Hz, which can be bothersome sometimes. As I'm not playing a video game, however, it's not too bad. With a simple scene (less reflections), I don't ever notice the refresh rate.
