Hi there, thanks for taking the time to help.
We have recently upgraded to SolidWorks 2008 in the office by first uninstalling 2007, and then doing a fresh install of 2008. (In one person's case they tried to delete as many SolidWorks references in the registry and the Documents and Settings folder as possible).
The problem is that it seems that SolidWorks 2007 was never truly uninstalled, as it remembered toolbox locations, drawing template locations, etc.
This is particularly annoying because in 2008, the SolidWorks directory is:
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\SolidWorks
... whereas in 2007 it was simply:
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks
So all the references in 'File Locations' (Tools > Options > System Options) point to things like:
C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\lang\English\... etc
So I have two questions:
1. Is it actually possible to remove all traces of a SolidWorks installation so previous versions don't interfere with new installations?
2. Is there a quick way of changing all the 'File Locations' references?
Many thanks,
