Windows Vista and the Design Library

I am running Windows Vista and SW20081.1 on my laptop. I am trying to create features for my design library, but Vista has a setting which requires all folders to be READ ONLY. This means that when I try to save anything to the Design Library it fails because you can't write to a read-only folder.

See link below:

I have followed the instructions in the tech forum, but still can't get rid of the read only attribute on the design library folders.

I can't be the only one having this issue. I ran a search on the forums, but didn't see anyone else posting on this.

Guidance would be greatly appreciated,
