I have a sheet metal part that I have added a curved edge
flange. What I want to do is flatten the sheet metal part, create a
linear pattern of punched holes on the unsuppressed flat pattern,
then suppress the flat pattern so the holes appear in the edge
flange. When I suppress the flat pattern the holes do not appear on
the curved edge flange. Is there a way to do this?
I can however create an offset plane for each individual hole that I need on the edge flange and create an extruded cut for each hole. The hole appears correctly in both flattened and unflattened states (oblong of course) but it would be very cumbersome create a plane and extruded cut for hundreds of holes.

Bob

The other option would be to wrap a line onto your curved surface and use the hole wizard to place either multiple holes on the line or pattern a single hole along the line.
