My question is all in the title.
Are you sure you're hiding them and not suppressing? Works fine for me, so please post some pictures OR files itself to look at.
Been using SW for 10 years. I know the difference between hiding and surpressing a part. I will have to see what I can do to demonstrate this. I never saw it in 2014.
Don't wanted to offend but since icons have changed in 2016, there could be a confusion.
No problem. It's fair to ask.
I just ran into another weird thing here:
I dragged a copy of a part in my assembly from the feature manager into the assembly. The COPY that I dragged in HAD MATES ON IT! Don't recall that from the past. Seems like a copy would come in with no mates.
If you're creating/copying multiple components by selecting and dragging them into graphics area, then mates between them are retained. This is a new feature in SW 2016
I hope there's a checkbox to turn that off. If I want a copy of a part, I don't want mates. I don't care for all the grey mates from parts that were deleted either. It's just clutter.
Is dragging multiple items new? I have never done that before. I can see where it might be useful. I have been doing copy with mates for this.
Yes it is new for 2016. For e.g. you've nut and washers having mates with bolt. Now you want to copy them all together. So if you select them all and ctrl + drag, then mates between nut, washers and bolt would be retained.
I do both regularly with no problems. It would seem to me that there may be a problem with your install.
