Isn't it a sham that it's required to purchase MBD to create 3D views in edrawings?
Unless there's a way to do this that I do not know
Sure, MBD should give you extra PDF options, but SWX core should have all the same features for edrawimgs without having to buy a MBD add on
It would also be nice to check in & out the MBD add on similar to an Simulation license

if you have MBD you make 3D views that pop-up with set annotations displayed
It's really fancy, but if you don't have MBD you would never know it exists!
I don't have MDB and whenever I make an e-drawing I get many different views

Do you get the 3D view button shown on the bottom right
or custom views created with set annotations?
I don't see that button but then again, I'm on SW2015.

I agree, James. The 3D Views are the best time savers in SW. Like Snapshots on steroids.
Create a shortcut to a configuration, display state, orientation, section state, annotations visibility and more. They are unbelievable useful. You can easily get to the point where you cannot live without them.
There is a lot more functionality that should be added to 3D Views, like being able to use them for defining drawing views.
So why doesn't everyone get these new tools?
I think this should be part of the core program

eDrawings are a pain, yesterday we had a post design meeting and they wanted me to operate eDrawings, I was as clumsy as an octopus on a camel, one of the worst pcs of software to use.
Finally we logged out of that remote and logged in where I could actually use SW, now I could spin, cut, hide, rotate, making parts transparent and more.

We use the software here everyday, What use to be so easy in 2014 is now painful
E-Drawings is just a viewer. It should have 3D views. I guess I'm lost as to what you're asking.
