I am new to SW and trying to model an externally threaded rod
(cylinder) that has a slight taper at the end of it. (the taper
does not include the entire lenght of the thread).
I generated a helix and sketched my thread profile to sweep along the helical path.
My problem is that the thread tends to deminish at the tapered end due to the helix being outisde the outer geometry of the rod where it tapres.
Using the tapere feature of the helix command manager wasn't much help becasue it results in a uniform taper from beginning to end which is not the case in my part.
Anyone run across this before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
