Which versions of SW and IV?
Which formats are you importing?
How much is the scale incorrect? Is it consistently out of scale in all axes?
Could it be a metric to imperial mismatch?
I have SW 2008 SP1.1, customer has latest of Inventor.
The scale is consistent at I think 2.54, I have gone through all my settings and they're all correct. I sent a file to my tech support and he also believes it's a SW error where it's just not recognizing hte scale factor.
I can go into each file and scale it manually but in the long run it would save me lots of time if I didn't have to do that.
I'm importing ipt and iam files. The strange thing is I open the same part in stp format and that part is correct.
2.54 is the conversion factor for cm to inches. So it appears to be a metric to imperial or imperial to metric units setting.
You should be able to fix the problem with SW import options or IV export options.
If not, use the ModelRescaler macro from http://www.lennyworks.com/solidworks/default.asp?ID=20 on the individual parts (not the assy) after importing to SW.
I noticed that the macro on your link was created in 2004, will it work in '08?
I would like something that also does assemblies not just parts.
I have checked all my settings and installed SP2.0......still nothing.
