SW2008 SP0.0 Network Lisence Troubles

We are testing out SW2008, and I have upgraded the SNL Manager on the server, and the license files are direct from solidworks.com. I get an unable to obtain license file error message (attached) when trying to pull it from the server. However...if I borrow it from the server SW starts right up. Any suggestions?

As a side note....I installed SW as Office Pro, but is displaying as Office Premium. Could this be the cause of my problems? Why would it be doing this?

  I had that problem when i was testing 2008.
  
  When I installed 08, I did it as a home use license on my local PC because I didn't want to install the SNL manager, etc. When I did this, I couldn't open 2007 because it switched 2007 to a home use license #.

I had no problems when I installed SW 2008 concerning the network license server. Something to check however is to make sure that the firewall on the server computer is allowing you to get the license. I had this on a previous version when I installed it. I believe the SNL Manager Installation Help document talks about your firewall. Check this out to see if it fixes your problems.

We have previous versions of SW running on this server, and they open up just fine. (2006, 2007) The only thing different is that the SNL program is up to date and the 2008 license is added.

  I found that 2008 works when it is the only license loaded on the server. If a 2007 license is loaded along side it, it wont start. Any other ideas?

    Your SW2008 license file is valid for SW2007 also. Dump the SW2007 license file and you will be fine for both old and new.
    
    You need to install the SW2008 license manager software along with the SW2008 license file.

  We noticed a very similar issue with a standalone license of SW and a network license of CosmosWorks. With the SP0.0 DVD it install a license manager for Cosmos and for Solidworks. The borrowing worked, but Add-in didn't. Our VAR was looking into the FLEX LM issue. This all on a XP pro 64bit machine has been a real disaster. VAR believes it installed a 32bit and 64bit LM.
