Hi, I'm brand new to this (both to forum and SW - I'm learning SW through on the job use/training at Kaas Tailored in Mukilteo, WA) so please bear with me.

We're a somewhat small furniture/aerospace compay, designing per customer specs (frames, foam, fabric patterns)

Our company is trying to find a plotter that is compatable with SW to where when we save things as .dxf as the final save, we don't have to save as another format. We looked at a plotter yesterday that required us to save as a .pdf for the plotter to read it. Saving our work as a .pdf isn't going to work for us. (There's always changes as some point or another) It would need both pen and knife, and 54", as a roll of fabric is generally 55". (we'd be using it to print/cut out the pattern in the system to verify against the hard patterns, and hopefully in the long run down the road, cut out the patterns and use them as the hard patterns.)

I'm currently running 07, while a couple of co-workers are running 08 to see if we want to upgrade everyone or stick with 07.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a resonably priced plotter that is compatable? Any suggestion would be extreamly helpful as I'm obviously clueless.
