2008 What New booklet Question?

So, i'm just wondering about this.. And it kinda bugs me to be honest.
Anyhow, Here's my Q..
In the 2008 What's New book.. page 10.
It list's 'Break links" as new functionality.
How exactly is this New? Uh.. Break link was in '07.. '06..' 05...
So, i'm just wondering how exactly this is new functionality when it is unchanged from past few versions.
Maybe it does something different, i dunno... But it works exactly as it always did for me at least.

my page 10 is part of the book contents. i see no reference to break lines.

however, if you search the document for 'break lines" you will come across the term in section 9-3 (pg 98), Broken Views.

        i'm looking at booklet now.
        what they refer to is new, break link to a mirrored/derived part and keep the original features.
        
        i'm guessing once the link is broken the tree will magically populate.
        wow, if it really works!
        
        funny how this is not listed in the what's new pdf (at least the one i have).

I think the Break Link option when creating a mirrored part is the new cool in SW08. That lets you edit the mirrored part independently of the original.

  Still not really "New" though.
  You can break the link and edit the part or mirrored part independantly in '07...
  
  You simply open the Mirrored part file and break the ref..
  Now you can edit one without changing the other..
  
  Granted.. in '07.. the mirrored version is a dumb solid body..
  
  '08 claims the mirror will retain the feature tree when link broken..
  So, that is the enhancement i guess... and it does work better than before,
