I don't know if this has been posted before, but:

If you're getting the "Pure Virtual Function Call" error message, the problem may be that you installed with anti-virus software enabled, like I recently did.

Do a complete un-install including registry and re-install with anti-virus disabled.

Apparently anti-virus software can intercept .dll files during the install and the result is a whole lot of lost hours, believe me.
