I want to emphasize certain parts of an assembly by shading them and putting the rest in wireframe. The only problem is that the shading shows through the other parts even when the shaded ones are behind the wireframe parts. Can that be fixed?
If you've any parts in wire frame then anything behind them would be visible. So is this you don't want? Can you post a picture to explain better?
I would suggest doing to views. One with all wire frame and the other with only those parts you want shaded and then align the views on top of each other.
In the assembly, change the 'display style' to how you want. Expand the display style fly-out from the feature manager
then in the drawing change display style to 'Shaded with Edges'
Here's a simple tube with an O-Ring added after the tube is bent. I'm showing thew O-Ring as 'solid' and the tube HLR
Hope this helps...
If you make a shaded part transparent to any degree then it will clip behind HLR parts-and I believe wireframe parts too.
