Solid body/ Assembly components interactions

Hi All.  I have a question.  I have created an assembly with moving parts:

What I am attempting to do is swing the door of this assembly open, and cause the second component to slide out of it's housing.  Basically a door opens and a tray slides out.  Here is what happens when I rotate the door:

I know the mechanics of this are correct, but I would like to know how to cause a collision between the armature knuckle and the door so that the door closing causes the tray to slide back into position.

Is there a way to do this without messing with the motion study?  Can I make these components "solid" so that the features interact as they would in the real world, or is there a mate that I can use to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance for taking the time.

Ben
