I have obj with texture in mtl. I need to import my obj with the texture. I don't know how to do it.
Here is an example of what I get from my scan.
..sad, that VRML (*.wrl) will not import this with the image..
.. so, I believe you are asking for or will need ScanTo3D to get the image map on the mesh...?
otherwise.. what I did was open the obj (with the image) into Rhino3D and tried to see if I could get something out of the mesh using Patch (nurbs).... then opened the surface and added a image of the hand..
Thank you for your answer,
yes, I need to get the image map on the mesh with scan to 3D, or with another software but I have to be able to import it with texture in solidworks.
I am looking for fast method /program because I have to treat a lots of file by day.
Hope you understand me, trying my best with my english
.. do you have ScanTo3D?
btw, I do not have ScanTo3D... so, for me, I would do this in Rhino3D.
...maybe someone here who has ScanTo3D can help?
Yes I do have Scan to 3D.
I tried to do it with scan to 3D, it doesn't work. When I looked in the help, they say that the texture must be linked with the obj. If not they will not bring the texture.
My texture is in mtl and I think that I have to linked it. but I don't know how. When I search how to open mtl in solidworks, I didn't find concluant result.
Thank you, if I don,t find a way to do it with scan to 3D, I will probably look for another program as Rhino 3D.
..curious,.. I created a *.wrl which links to the image... can you test if this *.wrl imports into ScanTo3D with the image?
When I try to open it (mesh files), it says that the file is corrupt.
I tried to open it with *.wrl graphic another surfacer and another time solid.with import texture for each test
it looks like
Still don't have the texture ;(
