In addition to what Greg said, it is useful to select the continuous tangent series of lines and arcs within the same weldment group so that you do not get seams in the continuous tubing.
Routing: Piping and Tubing also handles this well, but weldments are included in Standard license. In weldments you have to add the fillets manually as suggested.

I almost always just select the sketch from the tree, then I don't have to worry about that. Of course if you're using one sketch for multiple weldment features or types it won't work.
If you fillet your sketches and use weldments for your tubing you will get bends.
