Ok, so I have an assembly that is having an issue.

One of the components is not loading and when I mouse over the component, I get the message, "The file for this component has a non-matching internal ID"  (see attached image; Yes, I know that there are 2 missing items, the 2nd one was deleted, so I need to re-create that one).

However, it is NOT bringing up the normal window when I try to un-suppress it (or open the assembly), that allows me to assign the correct part.  I am guessing that the assembly is corrupted, but I am not totally sure.  Wanted to know if anyone else has seen this and if they had a solution to it before I totally remake the main assembly.

Since the "cannot find file" error is not coming up, I cannot force it to find the correct file.

When I try to replace the component with the correct one, it gives me this error:

OR it says that I cannot replace a component with one of the same name.

So, SolidWorks thinks that it is open, and yet, cannot find the file.

I did not create this assembly, it has been thrust onto me.
