This seems new with visualize and did not happen in previous versions for me. When importing a new model into an existing setup scene, the camera angle & aspect ratio, scene, and back plate all change. As a work around, i have to lock my camera before importing new models and uncheck Environment in the model import dialog box.
I guess my question is, why? Why is this the new default action? Is there any way to stop this other than my work around above? If I forget to do the steps above, I have to spend a couple minutes undoing all the changes. What someone thought might be a big time saver for someone, actually wastes a bunch of my time.
thanks

It's might be that your user settings may have been returned to their defaults somehow which means that when you import a model, the camera is being imported and used as the default camera (which is default behavior for most CAD formats).
Try unchecking the Camera tab in the Import Dialog when importing a model into your scene.
Are you importing SolidWorks files or another type?
