Is it possible to rename a project?

create a new project.
move documents from a project to the new project.
delete the empty project.

  That only seems to copy the the latest versions, can I copy all versions?

    you are using pdmw's functions to do this correct?
    
    nothing is copied, rather the documents are moved from one project to another.
    all the versions are there.
    
    don't be fooled by what you see in windows, if that's in fact what you're referring to.

      Thanks. I was trying thru the vault admin using copy project, this did not work. What I did was create a new project with the correct name, then moved everything into the new project and deleted the old project.

  Could anyone please be more specific about how to do just that?
  After making a new project under the right name I tried dragging and dropping items from the old assy to the new one. This way I have to redo all the mates, So I assume he meant something a little different.
  
  I'm using sw 2008, which btw means I have to save part externally; Not a problem.

    from the statements you made, it sounds like you do not know how to use pdmw.
    you do not add items to an assembly thru pdmw.
    
    to move a document from one project to another, go to vault, rmb on document, change project.
