If you have a manageable (less than 30) number of these you can manually replace the drawing view model. If I remember correctly, you can right-click on a view and select replace model.
If you have a large number of files, I would suggest looking into Solidworks Application programming interface (API)..

Try it, it might work. If the face and edges ID are the same, there is a good chance that the dimensions will be re-attached to the model.
Yes you can as long as the geometry, sketches are the same (same internal ID), otherwise its kind of a crap shoot, some things will keep others will need to be reattached.
First go to open a drawing and click on reference in the lower right hand corner of the dialog
Then you will get the following dialog:
At this point you can point it to a file with the same name in a different location by clicking in the in folder side or you can point it to a new model by clicking in the name
Doing what this is a good use of SolidWorks so you can minimize having to redo views, sections etc. especially if you have standard product that is basically the same other than a few dimensions, and features
