Hi all,

I'm curious to those who do large weldments. I've recently been doing some work for trailer manufacturer and am creating frame drawings of 53 and 60 foot trailers. At what point would you say it should be broken up into sub weldments and put in an assembly?

Also do you tend to use one 3d sketch or many different sketches?

I love using the groups since there is a lot of trim automation, but it seems to get pretty sluggish when i get to say 500+ solid bodies. Even i notice at around 150-200 bodies performance is hit.

I like the one part file personally. Just curious how others are doing it. thanks in advance!

Tony
